Voices for Change Advocacy CIC – Funding & Partnership Prospectus

Our Mission:

Voices for change is dedicated to bringing awareness and recovery to communities of domestic abuse, coercive control and complex trauma. We adapt a non-clinical approach as we are passionate about holistic healing based upon our own 7-step healing model The Empowered Self: Pathway to Autonomy™. You can find out more about this model by clicking here.

Through workshops, education, own conducted independent research, advocacy and a helpline we aim to offer our services either face to face or online whilst promoting empowerment to move beyond survival. Instead, we encourage healing through gaining autonomy, confidence and self-worth.

Why it Matters:

Domestic abuse can have long term impacts on emotional wellbeing, identity, confidence and feelings of safety. More so, coercive, emotional and psychological abuse can remain hidden, many people may not be aware they have experienced it or they are. Some trauma responses in the body and mind can be shook by people as genetic or something that cannot be controlled.

Many survivors also report feeling misunderstood, isolated or under supported. Immediate time-driven targets within services are leaving room only for high-risk people or not enough time.

We aim to bridge that gap through compassionate, person-centred support and public education.

Community Workshops

Research into domestic abuse and system responses

Development of local support networks
