Educate & Empower: Book Me as a Speaker or Trainer on Coercive Control and Trauma-Informed Practice

Coercive control is one of the most insidious and damaging forms of domestic abuse, yet it is still widely misunderstood. At Voices for Change, I am passionate about breaking the silence and equipping organisations, professionals, communities, and survivors with the knowledge and tools to recognise, respond to, and prevent it.

I offer tailored educational sessions, workshops, training, and talks drawing on both lived experience of complex childhood and adulthood traumas, and strong academic foundations:

  • BSc in Psychology

  • CBT Level 4 qualification

  • Current MSc in Psychology and Neuropsychology

This combination allows me to deliver evidence-based insights alongside the human reality of coercive control — covering psychological mechanisms, neurobiological impacts, patterns of behaviour, and practical strategies for recovery and prevention.

Topics I commonly cover include:

  • Understanding coercive control: tactics, red flags, and the psychology behind it

  • The neurobiology of trauma and long-term effects on survivors

  • Recognising coercive control in different contexts (relationships, families, workplaces)

  • Trauma-informed responses and support for survivors

  • CBT-informed approaches to rebuilding after abuse

  • Prevention, awareness, and organisational best practices

Sessions are interactive, compassionate, and adaptable — whether for small groups, professionals (e.g., healthcare, social care, education, HR), conferences, or community events. I focus on creating safe spaces for learning, reflection, and meaningful change.

Why work with me?

My unique blend of personal insight and academic expertise helps bridge theory and real-world application. Participants leave with greater understanding, practical tools, and renewed hope.
